Karen Blixen Museum was once the centerpiece of a farm at the foot of the Ngong Hills owned by Danish Author Karen and her Swedish Husband, Baron Bror von Blixen Fincke. Located 10km from the city center, the Museum belongs to a different period in the history of Kenya. The farmhouse gained international fame with the release of the movie ‘Out of Africa’ an Oscar-winning film based on Karen’s autobiography by the same title.

Depart either in the morning or afternoon and drive towards Ngong Hills passing through the Ngong village to the Karen Blixen Museum, for many years her home (as seen in the movie ‘out of Africa’. Later proceed to the Giraffe Centre where you will have the chance to see the endangered Rothschild giraffe and hand-feed them or drink tea with the giraffes. The tour returns to your city hotel.
